What this site keeps
As little as it can. Here’s all of it, in plain words.
Updated 7 October 2026
Visits and taps
The site counts visits and taps, like how often a printable is opened. Each count is a date, what happened and which page or printable. There are no cookies, and no IP address or name is kept. The counts stay on this site’s own server.
Every page loads from this site alone, with nothing pulled in from other companies.

A note you send comes straight to my inbox at hello@somethinglighter.com. The site doesn’t save it, and it never asks for your name or email.
To stop spam, the site keeps one number: how many notes arrived today. Nothing about who sent them.
A Place to Put It and the printables
What you type in A Place to Put It stays in your browser, on your device. The printables are made on your device too. None of that text reaches this site.
Photos you snap are read on your phone too, and never uploaded.
Substack and Instagram
The Subscribe button and the links at the bottom of the home page open Substack and Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy rules.
The web host
Like every website, this one runs on a host whose servers keep standard security logs. Something Lighter doesn’t use them to track anyone.
